Editor’s Notes: Tommy Hilfiger’s quintessentially American color scheme has been reimagined by Amsterdam-based streetwear label Patta for a new collaboration dropping this Friday. Patta dipped into the Tommy archives to amend the classic red, white, and blue to reflect the Pan-African flag, which was designed by Marcus Garvey 100 years ago and used as a symbol of Black liberation worldwide.

The collection arrives in unisex and kid’s sizing and will include pieces such as jackets, padded gilets, T-Shirts, hoodies, sweats, jeans, and accessories inscribed with messages such as “Love for All.” In addition to the new pieces, Tommy Hilfiger and Patta will be making donations to three organizations which support the African diaspora: The Black Archives in Amsterdam, Sistah Space in London, and The Good Neighborhood collective in Milan.

The lookbook (shot in Lagos by Nigerian filmmaker Dafe Oboro) is complemented by a short film, TWO BECOME ONE, which can be viewed below. Also, the Tommy x Patta site will host a screening of Katibo Yeye, a documentary which ruminates on one man’s journey from Suriname to Ghana, in the coming days too.
