Paperboy Paris Carries the NB992’s Delicious Dominance Into 2021

Editor’s Notes: Parisian restaurant Paperboy has been tapped by New Balance to reimagine the 992. The silhouette had a stellar 2020 thanks to enticing general release colorways and high-profile collaborations alike. This latest collaboration suggests that New Balance hopes to capitalize on the momentum in 2021.

Paperboy has only shared a mockup (below) and the above teaser of the co-branded 992, neither of which give us a full look at the shoe. From what we can see, though, we can tell that the sneaker features a white, cream, and beige colorway with yellow accents. The inspiration is clearly one of the restaurant’s poultry dishes. The shoe is branded with Paperboy’s logo on the heels and New Balance’s signature “N” logo on the side.

This chicken-themed 992 isn’t Paperboy’s first collaboration with New Balance. Early last year Paperboy released an 801 inspired by its signature Tuna Tataki Sandwich.

Stay tuned for a closer look at the Paperboy Paris x New Balance 992 as we near the January 30 release date. The sneaker will launch exclusively in-store at Paperboy, although a wider release is rumored to follow.
