ACRONYM co-founder Errolson Hugh has been a frequent collaborator with Nike in the past. With his unmistakable take on models like the Lunar Force 1, Presto or Air Force 1 Downtown, the designer managed to think Swoosh staple silhouettes one step further.
Now Hugh has been given the opportunity to alter the Air VaporMax – one of Nike’s most avant-garde sneakers in recent years. To infuse a dose of ACRONYM’s signature design philosophy into the shoe, the brand’s logo was used to come up with a unique camo pattern. Thanks to this approach, the black-and-white flyknit upper receives a dynamic look that is combined with an energetic tongue accent in striking volt yellow.
The signature VaporMax sole is finished in opaque white in the back, while the forefoot Air bubbles are translucent. Next to this initial colorway, there will also two additional styles that release during the next two months.
